Shade, Safety, and a Whole Lot of Teamwork: New Dugouts at Ballard Ballfield (lincoln parks and recreation)

There's a ballfield tucked into Lincoln's Havelock neighborhood, up at N 65th and Kearney, that's been hosting baseball and softball since long before most of the players on it were born. Ballard Ballfield is one of Lincoln Parks & Recreation's gold-level fields — agri-lime infield, irrigated outfield, the kind of place where a summer season actually feels like a summer season.

What it didn't have was a good place to get out of the sun. ‍

That changed this year. The team at Unlimited Sports Solutions designed and installed new dugouts at Ballard, giving players and coaches a cooler, safer spot to sit between innings.

What Lincoln had to say

‍ ‍Lincoln Parks & Recreation shared the finished project on their own channels:

‍ ‍

"A big shoutout to Unlimited Sports Solutions for our awesome new dugouts at Ballard Ballfield... We loved having their incredible team — and talented trainees from all over — come out to Lincoln and make this happen. Thanks to their hard work and teamwork, our players and coaches now have a cooler, safer spot to enjoy the game in the shade."

‍ ‍

Hard to say it better than that.
