This course examines key design, material, and manufacturing processes for specification considerations to ensure netting systems function as intended with long-term low maintenance usage.

From the youth level through the Professional sports ranks, the topic of player safety has been elevated to the forefront of policies and rules discussions. In relation to athletic field design, sports wall padding is one of the most effective athletic construction products that can be incorporated into a design to improve player safety. This course will cover strategies and materials used to pad any playing area of an athletic field that presents injury concerns for athletes.

It is no secret that prolonged exposure to UV rays takes a serious toll on people and property. In addition to providing shade that can feel up to 15 degrees cooler than direct sunlight exposure, properly designed and installed athletic field structures can withstand extreme weather events. This course will explore specification considerations on athletic field structure designs, materials, and installation guidelines.
