Sports Field Netting Systems — Built to Protect Every Play
The right netting doesn't just stop a ball — it protects your players, your fans, and your facility's liability. At Unlimited Sports Solutions, we supply professional-grade netting systems for athletic facilities of every size, from community little league fields to college and municipal complexes. Whether you're replacing a worn backstop, adding barrier netting along the foul lines, or outfitting a full multi-sport complex, we have the material, the spec knowledge, and the product lines to get it done right.
CiCo Park in Manhattan, Kansas — a community park since 1962 and one of Kansas' most significant athletic facility renovations of 2026. USS supplied overhead barrier netting systems spanning the full complex alongside safety netting, batting cages, foul poles, and protective padding across four reconstructed fields.more than a net — a complete system
Our specialty isn't just the net — it's the complete engineered system behind it. Every USS netting system is designed as a whole. The poles, steel cables, hardware, and net material all work together to handle wind loads and hold tension & shape for the long haul.
The poles are the foundation. USS uses only high-quality steel poles, expertly designed and engineered for the demands of netting systems. Because our poles and steel support cables are built specifically for this purpose, they carry more load with fewer poles — which means wider spans, cleaner sightlines, and less obstruction for spectators. It's how we've engineered systems reaching heights up to 120 feet.
Whether you're protecting a single field or outfitting a full multi-sport complex, we handle the material, the spec knowledge, and the engineering to get it done right.
in-line vs. tie-back netting systems
Not every facility needs the same setup. USS designs netting systems in two configurations, so we can match the right layout to your site, your sightlines, and your budget.
In-Line Systems
In-line systems align the poles directly with the backstop or barrier line, with poles spaced up to 50 feet apart. It's a straightforward, efficient layout that works well for most fields and complexes — fewer poles, clean vertical support, and a proven design that goes up quickly.
Tie-Back Systems
Tie-back systems suspend the netting from cables anchored to poles or nearby structures set behind the seating area — so there are no poles in front of your spectators. The result is a completely unobstructed view of the field. When protecting sightlines matters most, like behind home plate or along a grandstand, tie-back is the way to go.

our netting materials
Not all netting is the same. The right material depends on your application, your budget, and how much wear it experiences. USS carries various proven netting types — each built for a specific performance level.
Dyneema
Dyneema is the gold standard for high-performance sports netting. Pound for pound, it's one of the strongest materials on the market — roughly 15 times stronger than steel by weight — while remaining lightweight and virtually invisible from a distance. It's the preferred choice for facilities that want maximum durability with minimal visual obstruction.
Best for: High-traffic facilities, college and varsity programs, facilities where aesthetics matter alongside performance.
Nylon Netting
Nylon is the proven workhorse of sports facility netting. It offers excellent strength and impact resistance at an accessible price point, making it the most widely used netting material for backstops and barriers across the country. UV-treated for outdoor durability, nylon netting from USS is built to hold up through full seasons of use.
Best for: High school programs, municipal parks, recreation leagues, and facilities with standard performance requirements.
Tiger netting
Tiger netting is engineered for facilities that demand extra toughness. With a heavier gauge and reinforced construction, this stainless steel netting is designed for the most demanding hitting and training environments — batting cages, high-use backstops, and facilities where standard netting wears out too quickly. This stainless steel mesh is know for its anti-vandalism properties.
Best for: Batting practice areas, high-volume training facilities, and replacement applications where standard netting has underperformed.
netting applications
USS netting systems aren't one-size-fits-all. We supply netting configured for the specific demands of each application, so your installation performs exactly the way your facility needs it to.
